Sept'26 News
September has been another busy month at The Leanne Fund, with lots to celebrate and plenty of reasons to say thank you.
From incredible fundraising and community support to beautiful donations for our Hello Little One service, it’s been wonderful to see so many people getting behind us. We’ve also been shining a light on some of the different ways we support people with Cystic Fibrosis, from Wellness and Transition Packs to Get Active, while sharing some exciting news of our own too! 💜
As always, we couldn’t do any of it without our amazing families, fundraisers, volunteers and supporters. Here’s a little look back at September…
A Very Special Day in Memory of Jason ❤️

What an incredible achievement from Amanda and the team behind Jason’s First Memorial Golf Outing, who raised an amazing £18,110 for The Leanne Fund in memory of Jason.
So much love, time and hard work went into making the day such a special occasion, bringing people together to celebrate Jason, honour his memory and raise funds that will make a real difference to people affected by Cystic Fibrosis across Scotland.
We are so very grateful to Amanda and the whole organising team for choosing The Leanne Fund as the beneficiary, and to everyone who played, donated, sponsored, provided prizes, volunteered or supported the day in any way.
To turn such a difficult loss into something so positive for others is incredibly special, and we feel truly honoured to have been part of it.
Thank you, Amanda and team, and congratulations on an absolutely incredible achievement.
Jasons’ memory has helped make a difference to so many others. ❤️🕊️
🎉A Huge Thank You 💜
September has given us so many reasons to be grateful for our wonderful supporters across

Scotland!
A huge thank you to Lorraine and her family, who hosted another fantastic Bingo Night in Inverness, raising an amazing £460. We’re so grateful to everyone who attended, donated and helped make the evening such a success. 🎉
Over in Glasgow, the Glasgow Baseball Association’s Summer Solstice Charity Game raised a brilliant £952 for The Leanne Fund. ⚾️ Thank you to the organisers, players and everyone who supported the event.

We were also delighted to receive beautiful handmade knitting from Anne MacAulay and Isobel Stephen for our Hello Little One service. 🧶💜 Every stitch helps us give the warmest of welcomes to the newest little members of our CF community.
And finally, thank you to everyone who stopped by to see us at Tesco Stornoway, whether you donated, entered our raffle or simply came over for a chat. A special thank you also goes to our fantastic volunteers and the Tesco team for making us so welcome. 🥰
From fundraising and volunteering to donating and simply showing your support, every act of kindness helps us continue to be there for people affected by Cystic Fibrosis and their families across Scotland.
Thank you! 💜
Mairi Goes the Distance! 🏅

We had a lovely visitor to The Leanne Fund office recently when Mairi popped in to show us her TCS London Marathon My Way medal!
Back in April, Mairi completed the incredible 26.2-mile challenge on home soil, taking on the marathon in her own way while raising funds and awareness for The Leanne Fund.
It was fantastic to see Mairi again and have the chance to celebrate her achievement in person, medal and all! 🏃♀️💜
Taking on a marathon is no small challenge, and we’re incredibly grateful to Mairi for choosing to support people affected by Cystic Fibrosis and their families across Scotland along the way.
Congratulations, Mairi! We’re so proud to have you as part of Team Leanne Fund. 💜🏅
Your Votes Made a Difference 🧡

We had some fantastic news this month as The Leanne Fund was awarded £4,500 through Tesco Stronger Starts, helping us support five projects across Scotland!
Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for us, funding will go towards Cystic Fibrosis Support projects in Highland, Glasgow and Stornoway, as well as our Get Active projects in Shetland and Aberdeenshire.
These grants will help us continue providing support, opportunities and activities for people living with Cystic Fibrosis and their families in communities across Scotland.
A huge thank you to every single person who voted for us, and to Tesco Stronger Starts for supporting our work. Every vote really did make a difference! 💜
✨ Celebrating Jeans for Genes 💙

During Jeans for Genes Week, we took the opportunity to shine a light on the fantastic support Jeans for Genes provides to The Leanne Fund.
Their contribution towards our core costs plays an important role in helping us continue to provide practical and emotional support to people living with Cystic Fibrosis and their families across Scotland.
Core funding may happen behind the scenes, but it helps keep everything we do moving and ensures we can continue to be there when families need us.
A huge thank you to everyone at Jeans for Genes, and to everyone who supports their work. Your generosity helps organisations like ours continue making a difference. 🧬💜
15 Years of The Leanne Fund 📖
We’re delighted to share our 2025 Annual Report, looking back on a truly special year for The Leanne Fund. ⭐

2025 marked our 15th anniversary and one of the biggest milestones in our journey as we expanded our services to cover the whole of Scotland. This means every baby diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis in Scotland can now access support from The Leanne Fund from the very beginning.
Our Annual Report looks back at a year of milestones, memories and growth, while sharing the difference your support has helped us make for people affected by Cystic Fibrosis and their families.
None of this would be possible without our families, supporters, fundraisers, volunteers, donors and friends who have been part of our journey.
15 years of support, a Scotland-wide service and an exciting future ahead. 🌍

Service Highlights 🌟
This month, we’ve been shining a light on just a few of the ways The Leanne Fund supports people affected by Cystic Fibrosis throughout different stages of life.
👶 Hello Little One
Our Hello Little One boxes help us give the warmest welcome to babies newly diagnosed with CF and their families. This month, we were delighted to receive a lovely donation from Joan in Ireland to help us continue filling these special boxes with a little extra comfort and care.
🌿 Wellness Boxes
To mark Positive Thinking Day, we highlighted our Wellness Box service, created to support both physical and mental wellbeing. Each box contains carefully selected items, alongside helpful information and resources, to provide a little boost during more difficult days.
🔄 Transition Packs
Moving from paediatric to adult CF care can be a big change. Our Transition Packs, developed in collaboration with Kerry, CF Assistant Practitioner, and supported by the NHS Grampian team, are designed to make that next step a little easier and remind young people that our support continues alongside them.
🏊 Get Active
We also loved seeing one of our littlest CF warriors heading off to Water Babies through our Get Active service! Through partnerships like this, Get Active helps people with CF enjoy opportunities to move, build confidence, have fun and experience the benefits of being active.
From those very first days following diagnosis to navigating changes later in life, our services are here to provide practical and emotional support along the way.
