August has certainly been a busy one for The Leanne Fund, and we’ve loved seeing so many people getting involved and supporting our work in all sorts of wonderful ways. 💜

This month we’ve had lots of fantastic Kiltwalkers proudly taking on the miles for The Leanne Fund, some beautiful hand-knitted creations made with care, and even Sunny getting in on the action at the Grampian Forest Rally! 🐻🏁

Every walk, stitch, donation and helping hand plays a part in enabling us to continue supporting children, young people, adults and families living with Cystic Fibrosis across Scotland.

There’s plenty more to catch up on too, so we hope you enjoy this month’s newsletter and seeing just some of what our amazing community has been up to.

Thank you, as always, for being part of it. 💜

🧶 Knitting Kindness into Our Community

We’ve been incredibly lucky to receive some beautiful handmade creations from our

wonderful knitting community recently, and our Hello Little One baby boxes are getting beautifully stocked! 👶💜

Wilma MacKie from Banff sent us a gorgeous collection of blankets, hats and other knitted items, while Tasha in Inverness kindly donated some beautiful little cardigans. We’ve also received three lovely deliveries from Joyce and Maria in mainland Scotland, and Joan in Mullingar, Ireland, filled with gorgeous hand-knitted goodies for our baby boxes.

Every tiny hat, cardigan, blanket and pair of bootees represents time, care and kindness, making our Hello Little One baby boxes even more special for families welcoming a new baby. 🧶💜

Our lovely regular knitter Elizabeth Ross also put her talents to work for the Grampian Forest Rally, creating three fantastic knitted rally cars for our raffle. In a lovely twist, the winner kindly donated them back so they can be passed on to a child in hospital. 🏎️

A huge thank you to Wilma, Tasha, Joyce, Maria and Joan, Elizabeth, and all our wonderful knitters who continue to give their time and talents to support The Leanne Fund.

Every stitch really does make a difference. 💜

🏊🚴🏃 Going the Distance for The Leanne Fund #Point360Challenge

There’s been plenty happening with our fantastic Point360Challenge participants. 💜

Seumas MacTaggart took on an incredible triathlon, swimming 1 mile across the Braighe, cycling 7 miles to Tiumpanhead Lighthouse, before completing a 7-mile run back to the Braighe. An amazing achievement and a huge show of support for The Leanne Fund! 🏊🚴🏃

Meanwhile, Gavin is hoping to complete his mountain bike challenge around the coast of Point this year, as soon as the right conditions allow. We’ll be keeping everything crossed for some good weather! 🤞

Due to a change in circumstances, Cinzia, Kellie and Colin have made the decision to postpone their challenges until next summer. We’ll be right behind them when the time comes and look forward to following their journeys.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in the Point360Challenge for taking on these fantastic challenges and supporting people affected by Cystic Fibrosis across Scotland. 💜

💜 Kiltwalk Miles Making a Difference

A huge well done and thank you to all our fantastic #TeamLeanneFund Kiltwalkers who have been putting in the miles for The Leanne Fund! 💜

A special congratulations to Joe Preece, who completed the Dundee Kiltwalk, and to the brilliant Mags and Hannah, who didn’t let a change of plans stop them! They took on their Kiltwalk miles a little closer to home in Portree, completing their challenge and raising funds for The Leanne Fund. A fantastic achievement, ladies! 👏💜

And the Kiltwalk journey isn’t over yet! The Edinburgh Kiltwalk is coming up in September and there’s still time to join #TeamLeanneFund. We have free sign-up codes available, so simply email info@theleannefund.co.uk to secure your place. 🥾

Every mile walked, pound raised and cheer of encouragement helps us continue supporting people affected by Cystic Fibrosis across Scotland. Thank you for walking with us! 💜

☀️ Sunny Takes on the Grampian Forest Rally

A huge thank you to everyone who made the Voly Grampian Forest Rally such a fantastic weekend! 🏁💜

We loved meeting competitors, supporters and rally fans, and welcoming so many of you to The Leanne Fund stall for our raffle, children’s activities and a chat about the work we do.

As the Scottish Rally Championship’s chosen charity for 2026, it was wonderful to be part of such a brilliant event. Of course, Sunny had a great time too, enjoying plenty of attention, cuddles and new friends! ☀️🐾

Thank you to the organisers, volunteers, marshals and everyone who supported us throughout the event. 💜

And if you’d like a taste of the action, be sure to watch our reel featuring some of the incredible rally cars we spotted over the weekend! 🏁🚗💨

Service Spotlight: Small Comforts That Make a Difference 📺

One of our service highlights this month was our pre-paid TV cards, which help make

hospital stays a little easier for people living with Cystic Fibrosis. 💜

With a three-day viewing card costing around £20 in some hospitals, the expense can quickly add up during longer or regular admissions. The Leanne Fund provides pre-paid TV cards so children and adults can enjoy their favourite programmes, pass the time and have a little familiarity and comfort during their stay.

It may seem like a small thing, but during long days and nights in hospital, the little things can make a big difference. 📺💜

⛳ Teeing Off in Jason’s Memory

This September, Amanda is bringing family, friends and the wider community together for a

special memorial golf outing in memory of her brother, Jason. 💜

Taking place on Fri 4th Sept, the event will celebrate Jason’s life while raising funds for The Leanne Fund, helping us continue to support children, young people, adults and families living with Cystic Fibrosis across Scotland.

Whether you’re joining in for the competition or simply a great day out, every team and every donation will help make a difference.

🚐 New Look, Same Mission.

Our The Leanne Fund trailer has had a makeover, and we’re delighted with its fresh new look! 💜✨

A huge thank you to the local business who generously sponsored the refurbishment and new decals, helping give our trailer a whole new lease of life.

Special thanks also go to Cabby for the fantastic fresh paint finish. What a transformation!

We were thrilled to officially unveil it at the Grampian Forest Rally, and it will now be joining us at events across the country, helping us spread the word about The Leanne Fund and the support we provide.

Keep your eyes peeled, you never know where you might spot us next! 👀💜

💜 Thank You to Our Wonderful Supporters

A huge thank you to The Edinburgh & District Motor Club for their fantastic £600

donation, raised through the Scottish Six Days Trial, with special thanks to Annette Chambers and her team for their continued support.

We’re also incredibly grateful to Lewis & Harris Rangers Supporters Club for an amazing £3,000 donation, and to Katherine, Shona and the whole organising team for making it possible.

Your support helps us continue making a difference to people affected by Cystic Fibrosis across Scotland. 💜

Thanks for taking the time to read our news and for being part of our community. Your support helps us continue to stand alongside families across Scotland, and we’re so grateful to have you with us 🤍
