The Edinburgh Marathon Festival (EMF) 2026 will take place on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 May 2026, bringing together thousands of runners for Scotland’s largest running festival.

The weekend offers a range of events and distances, including the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, Team Relay, and Junior races, making it suitable for runners of all abilities, from first-time participants to experienced athletes.

With routes taking in some of Edinburgh’s most scenic areas, the festival is well known for its fast and flat courses, making it a popular choice for those chasing personal bests as well as those new to running events.

Participants taking part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival 2026 will be fundraising in support of The Leanne Fund, helping to raise vital funds to support children, young people, and families living with Cystic Fibrosis across Scotland.
